moi j'ai le tempsIf there's one thing I can't stop talking about it's fashion and beauty! Fashion icons range from Molly Ringwald's Pretty in Pinkness in the '80s to Audrey Hepburn's Roman Holiday. My outfits consist of delicate style pieces. In the summer many are from HK, like the On.Ligo pieces. In winter it's nothing but asymmetrical miniskirted sweaters, much of which is from Japan's OLD FAR collections.
I have a pinky olive skin tone that varies between LLL (winter) or a darker tan FFF (summer). Since my skin tends to look sallow, I stick to using pearls, roses and warm colours. I mainly use Giorgio Armani and Bobbi Brown skin care and makeup, I can't live without their correctors!
To make my eyes more defined, I like BB gel liner in Espresso Ink. I also really like using BB bronzer in Medium, BB blush in Apricot and Annabelle LE lip gloss when I have time. Other faves are the Annabelle eye prisms in PinkGold or Chiffon on the inner corner of my eyes. Before leaving I always use some Chanel Allure EDP, which has a signature colour of beige/pink/gold.
A few years ago, my hairstylist based my cut on a picture of Kaldea. To this day, the pic of Kaldea is still displayed at the salon! During the summer of 2006 I then decided to have my hair dyed coppery-red, and since then have had my cut based on Stella Nox. Whenever I have time, I use a ceramic flat iron or a Babyliss curling iron and Biosilk to make my hair like Selene.
Ever since I studied Ballet, I liked having my nails neatly trimmed and shiny. Now that I have taken up the Harp, I have to keep them shorter. I get French manis done with Essie's Sugar Daddy for an extremely natural look. Sort of "my nails but better". I rarely go dark but when I do, OPI Black Cherry Chutney is hands down my fave, a vampy black-red colour with sparkles in the sunlight.
I'm often found wearing sunglasses like the oversized Breakfast at Tiffany's inspired auburn pair above or my prescription sunglasses. When I don't feel like wearing my glasses, I wear freshlook colorblends contact lenses in gray or green. People say I like to hide my real eyes a lot...
I really love high heels. My current fave pair is the above french twist pump that Anjira sent me. Second fave is a pair of beige espadrilles with chiffon fabric and bows. I own about 6 pairs of espadrilles now, they're so comfy. A few years ago I bought an actual pair of Nike Air Max 180+ II Premiums for distance walking. Of course, that's only because they had embroidered details and came in a beige colour.
I have a lot of random charms: pink, gold, brown, or topaz jeweled hair pins and bracelets. Most of them are celestial or heart themed. Still, I tend to wear handmade stuff imported from parts of Asia or the handmade jade necklace from China my friend's cousin made. The love for charms meant that the girls of Team Lace took part in a charm bracelet project!
I consciously select very delicate laces and chiffons or embroidered fabrics that have little details like ribbons, bows or pearls when I buy clothes. As shown on the main page on this site, the colour range of my wardrobe tends to be very soft like what is found on the satin of pointe shoes: beiges, roses, ivory and white. I have only dresses and skirts, pants are no longer part of my wardrobe. It could be freezing cold but I'll still insist on dressing like a princess!
